About Us

Frame & Hinge is a small veteran owned and family operated business based in Jefferson County, West Virginia.

 

The story of Frame & Hinge began with a personal need.  Prepping dinner in our own kitchen one evening, we started daydreaming about what replacing our cabinets might look like while trying to incorporate new and different materials into the space.  How could we add a little more personality?  We recalled a project where steel and glass cabinets were custom made for a client and how much we had loved the end result.  This was quickly followed by the recollection of cost, many months of development and back and forth with a steel fabricator.  That little daydream was all but crushed.  A few minutes of silence passed and we thought, why hasn’t someone created these cabinets and made them a bit more attainable – taken care of the “hard part” –  removed the months of development, fabrication and associated costs and sell direct to consumers like us?  All of the sudden we were were jolted with the idea  – Wait, why not us?  

 

Almost a year of the “hard part” later, we are proud to offer heirloom-quality steel and glass cabinets, fabricated to industry standard sizes and artisan crafted by hand for DIYers and the trades alike.
